Student of the Month!

Help us celebrate the progress our incredible students are making!

Daniel Gevers, piano

Daniel enjoys all kinds of music from pop to jazz to classical, but according to his teacher Brad he has a special gift for playing Bach. Daniel is seven years old (in this video!) and blind, so he plays completely by ear. Here, Daniel shares an arrangement of the song “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” by one of his favorite bands, Green Day.

Daniel, thank you for sharing this beautiful performance with us, and congratulations to you for all of your hard work!!

Hannah Gevers, piano & voice

Congratulations to our next student of the month, Hannah Gevers! In this video, Hannah shares a performance of “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana, with her own arrangement that she worked on with her piano teacher, Brad. In this song, Hannah navigates intricate arpeggios and even a key change, and as if that weren’t enough, she sings the melody beautifully over the top. Thank you so much for sharing this inspiring performance with us, Hannah!! Your hard work and passion for music reminds us all why we put so many hours into our practice.

Henry Denker, piano

Congratulations to our next student of the month, Henry Denker!

Henry is seven years old and has been taking piano lessons with our instructor Tim for almost two years. Henry loves to learn songs from his favorite video game series, Super Mario Bros!

Henry has improved so much this past year, not just in his playing but also in his positive attitude and perseverance. Congratulations Henry, and thank you for submitting this performance video for all of our families to enjoy!!
