Congratulations to our next student of the week, Daniel Gevers! Daniel is seven years old and blind, so he plays completely by ear. He enjoys all kinds of music from pop to jazz to classical, but according to his teacher Brad he has a special gift for playing Bach. Here Daniel shares an arrangement of the song “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” by one of his favorite bands, Green Day.

Daniel, thank you for sharing this beautiful performance with us, and congratulations to you for all of your hard work!!

Congratulations to our next student of the week, Hannah Gevers! In this video, Hannah shares a performance of “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana, with her own arrangement that she worked on with her piano teacher, Brad. In this song, Hannah navigates intricate arpeggios and even a key change, and as if that weren’t enough, she sings the melody beautifully over the top. Thank you so much for sharing this inspiring performance with us, Hannah!! Your hard work and passion for music reminds us all why we put so many hours into our practice.

Congratulations to our next student of the week, Henry Denker!

Henry is seven years old and has been taking piano lessons with our instructor Tim for almost two years. Henry loves to learn songs from his favorite video game series, Super Mario Bros!

Henry has improved so much this past year, not just in his playing but also in his positive attitude and perseverance. Congratulations Henry, and thank you for submitting this performance video for all of our families to enjoy!!

Congratulations to our first student of the week, Brandon Baskin!

Follow the link below to watch Brandon's performance of Prelude in C by J.S. Bach.

Brandon takes piano lessons with Brad, and the two of them always have a blast together. Brandon loves to sing songs from Broadway shows and Disney movies; he especially enjoys belting out the high notes with range and power comparable to Idina Menzel herself!

Tackling this Bach Prelude was new territory for Brandon- we’re so proud of his ability to persevere through the difficult weeks and keep his eyes on the finish line. We’d like to thank Brandon for showing all of our students that hard work and focus really pays off!
