Rock Band Summer Camp

Reserve your spot now!

We can't wait to rock with you!

It’s happening- our first ever Rock Band Summer Camp!

All of our wonderful students spend the whole school year studying their instruments in isolation- now it’s time to bring everyone together  to learn how to play in a band and create musical masterpieces!

What to expect:

-five consecutive days full of musical fun, led by music director Bradley Goff and a small team of upbeat staff members (including former Play Out Loud students)!

-an opportunity to play all of the different instruments found in a rock band: guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and anything else we can get our hands on!

-fun musical games that help develop musical skills such as rhythm, dynamic expression, and harmonizing, as well as general skills like teamwork and collaboration.

-different classes throughout the day such as ‘SWIFTIES', ‘BEATLEMANIA', and

'IMAGINING DRAGONS', where students get to play the music of their favorite artists!

-a ‘FRIDAY ROCK SHOW' where students can invite their friends and family to see what they’ve been working on all week (we’ll record a video for those who aren’t able to make it)!

How:

Tuition for one week of full-day camp is $595 (recommended).

Tuition for one week of half-day camp is $395 (students leave or join us at lunch).

Parents/guardians can make a deposit of $250 to @playoutloud on Venmo to reserve their spot.  Please include the student’s name and which session they’d like to enroll in.

FAQ’s:

What will the student-to-instructor ratio be like?

We will be limiting each session to twelve students.  Each session will be led by Brad (music director) with assistance from a second adult counselor and one or two counselors-in-training (CIT’s).

How proficient are students expected to be at their instruments?

We recommend each student to have been playing/singing music for at least one year, but most of all, we ask that students bring a positive attitude and patience as they approach learning new instruments with peers of varying experience levels.

Should students bring their own lunch?

Yes.  Students will have access to a refrigerator where lunch and a snack can be stored.  We will provide plenty of cold water and some snacks.

Is my student too young/old to enroll?

We will have enough team members present to assist those students who may need extra help.  Our teenage and preteen students are encouraged to take leadership roles on and off the stage.  Everyone will be given a chance to shine, thrive, and play!  Depending on class size, we may break off younger and older groups for a part of the day to accelerate learning.
